Released by Film Score Monthly
One of my all-time favorite albums. I loved Dave Grusin’s score from the moment I saw the 1975 Sydney Pollack film with Robert Mitchum, and always hoped there would be a soundtrack LP. There never was. FSM righted this wrong in 2005, and it was a joy to interview both Grusin and Pollack about the experience. It is unfortunately out of print and pricey now (but, I think, well worth the investment). I even convinced art director Joe Sikoryak to use Bob Peak’s rarely seen cover art.
